Trade winds swirling...Excitement Brewing!
The Pirates made a customary move today by dealing Adam LaRoche to the Boston Red Sox. The Red Sox could have just given us a dozen baseball and few extra bats and I would have been happy. Just freeing up the money we were paying LaRoche is a win in it… more »

Morton lasts one inning, but Pirates Victorious
Charlie Morton started his first game with the Pirates and wanted nothing more the avenge the team that traded him a week prior, but his night came to an abrupt halt...an inning into the game. Even though you might be frustrated with this result. The Pirates actually played a great game despite the outcome. Unfortunately they just need a little more time in the gym to be able to finish off a marathon. more »

This season will be no exception, but the positive aspect is that the Pirates have a few “hot” players that may return some quality young players. more »
