That time of year again!
Trade season is amongst us and in typical Pittsburgh fashion, the Pirates started off with a bang. The Pirates traded away their second starting outfielder today when they dealt Nyjer Morgan to the Washington Nationals. Now don't go looking for the nearest ledge to jump off of, these moves make sense. more »

Thanks, Jim!
I just want to thank Jim Shearer for the great piece of artwork he sent out for our viewing pleasure. He is the guy that hosts Yinz Luv Tha Guins and Stillers sites on Youtube. This is a memory we might have to hold on to for a while. In reality, we can hope and predict, but the odds aren't in our favor. Heck, we might not see another championship for a while. Oh, and if you run across Jim, thank him! more »

Band of the Week!...Volume 16! -Hollywood Undead
This installment of my favorite band of the week is all about Hollywood Undead. They are more of a hard rocker/rap type of band. They remind me of bands like Linkin Park and 3OH!3 in a way. They have that Slipknot type of look, with the masks. They are a fun band that like to do what I call, yell with passion. It isn't screaming, but it is perfect for their style. They can also sing and rap, so don't think your getting just a yelling band. I wouldn't bother posting about them if I didn't think you should check them out. more »

Winning will erase these memories

My Picks for NHL Awards
The NHL Awards take place tonight in Las Vegas. There are three possible finalists for each of the nine awards being issued tonight. I am sure we will see the Rocket Richard award to Alex Ovechkin for most goals and the Art Ross to Evgeni Malkin for most points as well. We will see all the others selected, but for now, I am going to tell you my picks for each award and who will probably actually win. Let's see if I am right! more »

Can We Defend Our Title?
If you go about not even looking at the numbers, usually you would say no, just like in the Steelers case in the last post. However unlikely in that aspect, it is likely when you actually look at things. I have been looking at the free agents and bouncing them off of playing time, roles on the team, and points in the regular season. I also looked at how they contributed in the post season. Out of all these things comes the salary cap as well. I feel bad for Ray Shero. I will break it down for you and try to sound smart in the process, yeah, like that can happen! more »

Can a Champion Get Better?
This is a question that can be asked after a championship season and is usually answered with a resounding "no". In the Steelers case, I actually believe that we have. There were few holes from last year that we were able to plug this year. Of course, nothing is perfect, but come on, it is our Steelers! more »
