Writers Wanted

We are looking to expand our site to not just Pittsburgh sports. We would like to have other things on our list for people to read.

We were hoping for someone to be able to cover the Pittsburgh Music scene. There are a lot of bands from Pittsburgh that don't get their name out properly. We would love for someone to be able to write weekly or more about a Pittsburgh band. If not a particular band then where the bands are playing in the area.

Another idea in the theme of music would be for an actual Pittsburgh band to write about their exploits on the blog. We would love to see the things you face on a week to week basis. It would be a great thing for when you hit it big.

Another idea we had was for someone to take a look at the bar scene and write what is happening the next week in the strip or around town. You know, places to party at. Let your readers know the best places to go and what they have to offer.

One more idea we had was for a movie connoisseur. You know, just someone that loves to go to movies, telling us their recommendations. Gives people a heads up where their up and coming movies are going to be played.

We are looking for dependable fans that have a desire to put out their opinions of their favorite teams. I am looking for people to post at least once a week, they can post more, but I would love for that to be the minimum. I am looking for people to be at least 18 years old and able to get their thoughts across with minimal language. I swear from time to time, but I have a limit. If you pick a topic other than sports, let me if you want sole possession of it. Some people wouldn't like competition in their own site. The ultimate goal is to put out a product that is respected in our own community.

These are non-paying gigs, as you probably already figured, but if we, as a site, get popular enough, you will get your even cut just like everyone else. We will not, however, mess up the look and feel of the site that much for an ad. This is all about passionate people and their columns. People who love to write and want to talk as much as they can about all things Pittsburgh. One more thing, if you choose one of these topics, remember, you are not restricted to just that. Yes, that topic will be your responsibility, but you are welcome to give your opinion on anything else as well.

I think it will be a lot of fun to build up the reputation of the site. You can see it is titled, Everything Pittsburgh, so why not cover everything Pittsburgh?
