All Good Things Must Come to an End
As the title says, all good things must come to an end. This includes the Wilkes Barre Penguins' playoff run. As many of you may already know, the Albany River Rats swept the first round of the Calder Cup playoffs, eliminating the WBS Pens. The Pens being eliminated was hard on me (as you can tell by how late this post is) but I am finally ready for closure. It is time to say goodbye to the '09-'10 season.

Penguins vs. River Rats: AHL Playoffs Round 1
It is playoff time again! Time for playoff beards, whiteouts, blood, sweat, tears, lost voices, loud cheers, and most importantly, time for the WBS Pens to show that they have what it takes to fight for the Calder Cup!

WBS Pens Playoff Clinching Pep Rally
Tomorrow, Wednesday April 7th, the Wilkes Barre Penguins have the opportunity to clinch a playoff spot in chase of the Calder Cup. Since this season has been filled with ups and downs, I think it is necessary to focus on the positive and let the boys know we believe in them! So I decided to have a pep rally.....

A Visit from Lord Stanley
On March 17th, Lord Stanley made his second visit to Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania since the Penguins became the Stanley Cup Champions in June. Lord Stanley must have enjoyed himself while he was here back in September because we were graced with his presence again! Find out about his latest visit to Wilkes Barre after the jump...

The Many Faces of the WBS Pens
When you see hockey pictures on websites, the players usually look tough, focused, and/or determined. If the players saw these pictures of themselves they would most likely be happy with them. This post brings you the exact opposite. If the players saw what I am about to post and knew who I was, I would be running away from them right now. But since none of them know who I am, I present to you all: The Many Faces of the WBS Pens!

Steve Wagner: The Answer to Our Problems?
The beginning of 2010 was dark for the Wilkes Barre Penguins. The team started losing more and more games and the players lost their edge. Fans were questioning the coaching staff and the players' abilities. Playoff hopes were shrinking fast. But then, on February 11th, something changed...

What I learned at Umberger Performance in 2009
Eric Cressey has done this for a few years. It’s been educational and pretty funny at the same time.. Let's see in 2009 I: I finished my masters degree, had the facility that I was planning on using to train clients for the summer close it's doors with ZERO notice 7 days before I was to start full time(crack in the floor- yeah go figure), and I worked 127 days straight to open a World Class Sport Training & Wellness Facility in Pittsburgh. With all of that “stuff”, I figured that I learned a bit over the year. FYI, if you are easily offended do not read this. Save us both time by not having to write the BS emails back and forth. English freaks take note- my proof reading sucks, and I'm not paying an editor to write for a free blog.

Trade Madness: An AHL Fan's Perspective
One of the most exciting yet nerve-wracking times for NHL hockey fans is the time before the trade deadline. Take the nervousness that a fan might feel and multiply it by 10. This is the level of nervousness I experienced this year prior to the deadline. While I was extremely nervous about my favorite Pittsburgh Penguins potentially getting traded, I was also nervous about the effect that trades could have on my Wilkes Barre Penguins.

Brand New
I sat here and struggled to think of a way to begin my introduction. Should I be self depreciating like so many blogs are? Should I be raunchy and curse a lot because I do in real life? I don’t know. But I think the best way to do it is just like at a bar, “Can I buy you drink?” But in that case, I would only be lucky if 3 people read this blog or I would be tremendously broke. Or perhaps, throw out my favorite pick up line:
